1st Polish Light Cavalry Regiment of the Imperial Guard

Born 17 June 1780 in Minsk, son of Ignacy and Angelica (Kosow) Gnatowski. 11 October 1807 horseman of the 7th company; 25 December 1807 brigadier of the 8th company; 01 January 1808 cavalry sergeant; 01 September 1809 cavalry master sergeant; 05 April 1809 second lieutenant; 15 March 1810 he received 500 francs; 17 February 1811 ordered to be lieutenant of the 1st regiment of the Visula Ulans, he refused this service; 06 April 1811 ordered as captain of the 8th regiment of the Lancers of the Vistula, and took the service on 04 May 1811; 1812-1813 captain of uniform manufacture in Sedan, he was a member of the second Saxon company; 15 November 1813 transferred to the Main Headquarters of the Great Army; 01 April 1814 appointed chief of the squadron.
He was given the Knight's Cross of the Legion of Honor (no. 45120) on 17 January 1814.
